Millinocket Fire Department Facts

Founded:
The organization of the Volunteer Fire Department corresponded with the town's incorporation in 1901.

Collections:
The Fire Department operates a number of emergency and rescue vehicles. Several engines, a ladder truck, a tanker, and a series of ambulances form the core of the department's fleet. They also keep a rescue boat, snowmobile and toboggan.

Facilities:
The Millinocket Fire Department maintains two facilities, the first of which is the main firehouse on Aroostook Avenue. There is also a second firehouse on nearby Spruce Street.
